Field Services Coordinator/Dispatcher

The Field Services Coordinator/Dispatcher is responsible for assisting the operations team in coordinating multiple projects to meet cost, schedule, document control, and quality standards. This role involves communicating with external and internal clients via phone, email, and other channels, responding to questions, concerns, and service requests, dispatching technicians, and managing work orders.

Responsibilities
  1. Dispatch workforce and equipment for projects in the Northeast US, primarily in NYS.
  2. Coordinate equipment requirements for each project.
  3. Track test equipment and schedule repairs/calibrations.
  4. Coordinate with Project Managers and field personnel.
  5. Implement all company policies and standards.
  6. Assist Project Managers in allocating labor and equipment resources.
  7. Monitor inventory levels and facilitate replenishment of supplies.
  8. Coordinate the movement of equipment to field personnel and warehouses.
  9. Submit rental requests and track equipment usage.
  10. Use and maintain scheduling software.
  11. Evaluate current practices and suggest operational improvements.
  12. Organize data storage for Technical Services locations.
  13. Manage Work in Progress (WIP) schedule and coordinate meetings.
  14. Collaborate with teams for equipment and labor planning.
  15. Manage technicians' PPE and track certification progress.
  16. Coordinate training sessions and meetings.
  17. Coordinate fleet needs with the Fleet Team.
  18. Send specialty agreement notifications to IBEW Local Unions.
  19. Track and report on equipment ownership costs versus rentals.
  20. Identify and research problematic equipment solutions.
  21. Respond to off-hour emergency dispatch calls.
  22. Monitor technician availability for emergencies.
  23. Maintain positive client relationships professionally.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two years in construction or Field Service industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with scheduling software or ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment and promote teamwork.
  • Self-motivated with initiative and responsibility.
Compensation

The hourly rate ranges from $22.50 to $27.25, depending on factors like location, skills, experience, and market conditions. Top-tier pay reflects seniority and qualifications. Actual offers will consider individual knowledge, skills, and experience.
