Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized Field Support Coordinator to support the execution of large-scale renewable energy projects. This position will play a key role in managing parts, materials, tooling, inventory, purchasing documentation, and site logistics throughout project execution.
The ideal candidate has experience supporting construction, energy, industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, chemical, or similar field-based operations and is comfortable balancing hands-on site coordination with administrative and ERP responsibilities.
This is a 100% on-site position requiring close collaboration with project management, field supervisors, technicians, vendors, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the ordering, receiving, tracking, distribution, and reconciliation of project parts and materials.
- Verify incoming shipments, quantities, documentation, and condition of components.
- Maintain detailed receiving records, including photographs of major components and any identified shipping damage or discrepancies.
- Process goods receipts, parts consumption, inventory updates, and as-built information in SAP.
- Maintain accurate parts and inventory trackers, including serial numbers and equipment identification information.
- Coordinate distribution of parts to vendors, customers, technicians, and field teams.
- Ensure parts kits are complete, properly documented, and ready for delivery to field crews.
- Perform regular inventory verification and support weekly SAP inventory reconciliation.
- Receive, issue, track, inspect, and reconcile tools and equipment assigned to technicians and vendors.
- Support organization and upkeep of site facilities, parts storage areas, and tooling areas.
- Identify and communicate shortages, discrepancies, damaged materials, and excess inventory.
- Create, track, receive, and close purchase requisitions and purchase orders (PRs/POs).
- Support vendor setup, invoice tracking, invoice processing, and payment documentation.
- Support work order administration and ensure completed work and associated materials are properly documented.
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, field leadership, supervisors, technicians, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in field support, project coordination, materials coordination, inventory, logistics, procurement, construction administration, or similar operations.
- Experience working in a construction, renewable energy, power generation, oil & gas, chemical, industrial, manufacturing, or other project-driven environment preferred.
- Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP/inventory management system strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with purchase orders, goods receipts, inventory transactions, invoices, and material tracking.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable communicating with field personnel, project leadership, vendors, and customers.
- Able to work independently while remaining highly collaborative with the broader project team.
- Comfortable working 100% on-site and periodically entering active field, warehouse, storage, and construction areas.
What We're Looking For
We are especially interested in candidates who combine strong administrative and systems skills with hands-on field logistics experience. You should be comfortable working in SAP and managing documentation while also going into the field to verify inventory, receive materials, coordinate tooling, and resolve discrepancies.
Direct wind industry experience is not required. Candidates with transferable experience from other industrial or construction environments are encouraged to apply.
