Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies and acting in a safe manner.
• Enforces policies and procedures related to Health & Safety; liaises with Health and Safety leadership.
• Manages large-scale field service and emergency response projects as directed.
• Manages Field Service Technicians, Class A and Class B Drivers.
• Acts as on-call coordinator as needed.
• Responds immediately when on-call and ensures coverage with supervisor.
• Inspects Service Center property daily for cleanliness and compliance with laws.
• Directs personnel in field operations and assigns manpower and equipment.
• Evaluates trainings and approvals before assigning staff to projects.
• Acts as office liaison for field personnel with authority over shifts.
• Ensures rolling stock equipment is maintained and permitted.
• Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Ensures equipment and vehicles are kept in good working order.
• Completes worksheets and vehicle/equipment inspections.
• Creates daily schedules for field work and spill response.
• Manages equipment service requests and returns.
• Enforces OSHA, EPA and H&S standards or regulations.
• Reports work-related accidents to supervisor.
• Oversees DOT logs via Samsara daily review.
• Adheres to environmental health and safety guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Clean Harbors in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking a Field Service Coordinator responsible for the direction of employees and resources to perform duties associated with field service operations including tank cleaning, equipment & facility decontamination and emergency response.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Enforces the policies and procedures as it relates to Health & Safety. Will be measured off the district's health and safety record. Works closely with the Director of Health and Safety and VP of Site Services in resolving issues in an appropriate and timely manner;
• Manages large scale field service and emergency response projects when directed;
• Manages Field Service Technicians, Class A and Class B Drivers;
• Acts as the on-call coordinator on an as needed basis;
• Responds immediately when on-call or secures proper coverage and communicates replacement name to supervisor/manager;
• Responsible for the inspection of the Service Center property on a daily basis to ensure the facility is clean and in compliance with federal, state or local laws, including "best in class" inspections;
• Directs personnel in the operational procedures to complete assignments and understand manpower and equipment requirements to complete field service projects and emergency responses;
• Evaluates approved trainings and solo approvals prior to assigning employees to projects and emergency assignments;
• Acts as office liaison for the field service personnel in the field and has independent authority to determine who may or may not work on a given shift;
• Ensures rolling stock equipment is properly maintained and permitted for operations;
• Maintains proper inventory of equipment and supplies for current workload;
• Maintains proper working order and maintenance for assigned company equipment and or vehicles;
• Responsible for the proper completion of worksheets, vehicle inspections and equipment inspections;
• Creates daily schedules for field service work and on call/Spill team;
• Responsible for the inspection, requests for service and repair of equipment and material in the service center and ensures proper return of equipment on a daily basis;
• Enforces and ensures OSHA, EPA and H&S standards or regulations are compliant;
• Ensures the timely reporting of work-related accidents or incidents to immediate supervisor;
• Oversee and participate in the tracking of DOT Logs (hours of service) via daily review of Samsara.
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned
