Job summary

EMAG Group seeks a Field Service Controls Engineer / Electrician to install, commission, and service EMAG machine tools and automation at customer sites across North America and beyond. You will work with Siemens-based control systems, including SINUMERIK, SIMATIC PLCs, and related software, traveling as needed to ensure startup success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in a related technical field preferred.
• Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial controls, machine tool service, automation, or electrical commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and validate EMAG machine tools and automation at customer sites.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and repair of control systems, PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors, motors.
• Configure Siemens control systems including SINUMERIK, SIMATIC PLCs, TIA Portal, STEP 7, WinCC.
• Conduct startup activities with system verification, I/O checks, safety validation, testing.
• Diagnose issues using schematics, software diagnostics, and testing equipment.
• Train customer personnel and support ongoing technical services.
• Provide remote technical support and collaborate with internal teams.
