Job summary

Delta Technology, LLC is seeking a Field Service Engineer/Controls Engineer for full-time, on-site work in Tempe, AZ. You will install, commission, and service automated equipment and control systems at customer facilities, diagnosing issues and providing hands-on technical support to minimize downtime.

The role requires on-site travel to client sites, strong documentation skills, and the ability to train customer personnel on proper operation and maintenance of systems.

Qualifications

• Must have field service experience with industrial automation or controls equipment, including on-site installation and commissioning.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including PLCs and related hardware.
• Ability to provide technical support and preventive maintenance with clear documentation of work performed.
• Customer service skills to support training and effective communication with diverse client teams.
• Knowledge of robotics, motion control, sensors, and industrial networking is beneficial.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and service automated equipment and control systems at customer sites.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls issues; perform preventive maintenance.
• Document service activities and train customer personnel on operation and maintenance.
• Communicate findings clearly and maintain strong customer relationships.
