Job summary

Controlled Combustion is seeking a Commercial Boiler Maintenance Technician to join our field service team in NYC. You will perform maintenance on Scotch marine, cast iron, atmospheric, and modular boilers at customer locations, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will operate truck-mounted vacuum equipment, perform fireside and waterside cleanings, and participate in overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. High school diploma or equivalent required; experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial boiler maintenance.
• Ability to perform fireside vacuum cleaning and waterside power-wash cleaning.
• Comfortable following safety procedures and site requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial boiler maintenance at customer locations.
• Complete fireside vacuum cleaning.
• Complete waterside power-wash cleaning.
• Operate high-powered truck-mounted vacuum equipment.
• Drain, refill, and isolate boiler systems as needed.
• Replace and install gauge glasses, stack thermometers, and related boiler components.
• Perform minor repairs to low-pressure boilers.
• Assist with maintenance of various boiler types.
• Follow company safety procedures, customer site requirements, and industry best practices.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and other team members.
• Complete service documentation accurately and on time.
• Participate in overtime, weekend work, and holiday work as needed.
