Job summary

Blake Thermal Sales & Service, Inc. in Portland, ME is seeking several Field Service Boiler/Burner/Controls Technicians. Apprentices welcome; strong troubleshooting and customer focus required. Training provided to all levels.

Responsibilities include installation, scheduled and emergency maintenance, on-call rotation, and interpreting wiring diagrams. Travel to client sites will be required; valid driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on combustion tuning and troubleshooting of burners from .5 to 30 MMBTU input.
• Factory start-up and commissioning of C&I equipment including boilers and steam systems.
• Ability to analyze boiler rooms for reliability and efficiency improvements.
• Understanding of hot water/steam boiler support equipment (deaerators, feed, blow down, economizers).
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical/control instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance/repair of boiler/burner/controls equipment.
• Install equipment at customer sites and provide pre-installation assistance.
• Maintain and manage tools and company-provided equipment; keep records and reports.
