Job summary

Combustion & Controls, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Boiler Service Technician to install and repair boilers, burners, and pressure vessels, using blueprints, drawings, and manuals to guide work.

The role requires at least 3 years of boiler service experience, a clean driving record, ability to travel up to 70% and be on call; you will inspect systems, troubleshoot components, ensure safety, and complete field reports for clients.

Qualifications

• Boiler service, troubleshooting and repair experience (minimum 3 years).
• Valid driver's license with clean record and insurability.
• Must pass pre-employment background and random drug screening.
• Knowledge of water treatment and boiler operation.
• Knowledge of ASME, state and local codes.
• Proficient in welding and cutting.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures, specifications and drawings.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently or in a team.
• Good customer service and professional image.
• Ability to travel at least 70% and be on-call as needed.
• Capable of working in confined spaces and elevated areas.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect boiler systems.
• Inspect vessels and components for defects.
• Evaluate boiler room systems, gather information, and help solve problems.
• Troubleshoot and repair valves, motors, and safety devices.
• Install manholes, taps, tubes, valves, gauges, and feedwater connections in tube boilers.
• Clean pressure vessel equipment.
• Read cut sheets and lay out materials.
• Interpret drawings and assemble materials, direct helpers, use tools.
• Wear PPE and follow safety protocols.
• Complete service reports and obtain client signatures.
• Perform additional duties as requested.
