Job summary

MultiMedical Systems is seeking a Field Service Biomedical Equipment Technician I/II to support medical equipment in Gallup, NM. The role collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure equipment is safe, compliant, and functioning properly.

The technician will perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and repairs, diagnose malfunctions, and manage parts and records. A 2+ year hospital biomedical maintenance background is preferred; travel and a valid US driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in biomedical engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair in a hospital setting.
• Knowledge of medical equipment and regulatory requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Safety Requirements:

• Maintain a safe working environment for self and others if they come in contact within the biomed area in accordance with the facility’s policies
• Must follow OSHA guidelines in regard to blood borne pathogens, airborne pathogens, radiation, sharp instruments and/or tools, hazardous liquids, and operating devices
• Must have sensory ability to distinguish hot & cold ranges of temperature, surfaces, fine motor skills, manual dexterity, and detect/distinguish colors
• Must be able be able to carry or lift up to 50 pounds routinely
