Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Field Service Biomedical Equipment Technician based near Dothan, AL. Our home office is located in Geneva, Al. While the position offers limited flexibilityfor office and field work, the majority of work will be performed on-site at healthcare facilities and in the field. The technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing medical equipment, ensuring electrical safety, and performing equipment calibrations. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment issues, conducting safety and performance checks, and maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical equipment repair and maintenance, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.

• Strong working knowledge of medical devices including, but not limited to, patient monitors, infusion pumps, defibrillators, ventilators, and imaging equipment.

• Demonstrated ability to interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools for equipment troubleshooting and repair.

• Proficiency with safety, calibration, and performance testing standards in compliance with FDA, NFPA, Joint Commission and other regulaotry agency guidelines.

• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and medical device tracking software.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize repairs and communicate effectively with clinical staff.

• Strong understanding of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and computer systems integration in medical devices.

• Ability to lift and transport equipment as needed, and work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

• CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) certification preferred.

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between facilities if required.

• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with new technologies and regulatory changes.

• $26.00 – $28.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
