Job summary

Fairbanks Scales Inc. is seeking a Scale Technician to install, calibrate, and repair a range of scales and weighing systems, from bench to truck scales. You will ensure accuracy and reliability of instruments critical to daily operations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or better), strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, and 1–2 years in a related field. CDL license and after-hours availability are required; a safety-first mindset is essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical field certificate/2-year degree a plus.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • 1–2 years in maintenance, mechanical, industrial, electrical, or similar field is a plus.
  • Clean driving record; ability to obtain/maintain Class B CDL.
  • Willingness to work beyond standard schedule and weekends as needed; safety-minded.

Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, service, and repair various scales and weighing systems.
  • Document calibration and repair actions with checklists and forms.
  • Provide excellent service while interacting with customers and teammates.
