Job summary

Fairbanks Scales Inc. is seeking a Scale Technician in Davenport, IA to install, calibrate, and repair various scales and weighing systems. You will document actions and interact with customers to ensure accuracy and safety on the job site.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (technical cert is a plus), 1–2 years in maintenance or related fields, strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, and a clean driving record with ability to obtain a CDL-B. Some after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or 2-year degree is a plus.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• 1–2 years in maintenance, mechanical, industrial, electrical, or related field preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and work well with teammates, sales managers, and customers to get the job done safely and accurately.
• Clean driving record and ability to obtain and maintain a Class B CDL.
• Ability to work beyond the typical Monday–Friday schedule; some after-hours or weekend work may be required.
• Safety mindset and the ability to speak up to protect themselves and others.

Responsibilities

• Installing, calibrating, servicing, and repairing various types of scales and weighing systems.
• Documenting calibration and repair actions with inspection checklists and forms.
• Provide excellent service while interacting with customers and teammates.
