Job summary

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is seeking a Field Sampling Technician in Cinnaminson, NJ to collect and test environmental chemistry and bacterial samples for the Northern and Central New Jersey Region.

The full-time role requires driving to client sites, lifting up to 50 pounds, and strict adherence to safety policies. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior knowledge of field sampling and/or laboratory experience is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel via company vehicle to client sites throughout the Tri-State Area.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Good with directions using GPS.
• Organized and able to prioritize tasks/deliveries.
• Excellent communication skills and good attitude; daily interaction with clients.
• Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of client confidentiality.
• Driver Abstract Check Required.

Responsibilities

• Provide sample collection services to FDA Detention, Well-Water, legionella, and environmental chemistry clients.
• Provide technical support to clients when needed.
• Complete all assigned routes.
• Furnish sample containers to clients.
• Perform on-site testing and record data.
• Adhere to safety policies and company handbook.
• Maintain a daily activity log.
• Drive safely and comply with traffic laws.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and maintenance.
• Work hours as assigned, including weekends/holidays when requested.
• Observe OSHA and client site safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including reassignment to other tasks.
• Do not enter confined spaces without approval.
• Complete chain-of-custody and collection reports.
• Lift equipment up to 50 pounds when needed.
• Move samples between laboratories as required.
