Your Role
In-House Sales Training: Serve as an in-house trainer for core commercial skills, including Consultative Selling, Strategic Selling with Perspective, Conceptual Selling with Perspective, Territory Sales Planning, Negotiation Skills, Techno-Commercial Skills, Data & Digital Skills, both in-person and virtual delivery.
Sales Coaching Practices: Influence through partnership with commercial team managers on sales coaching practices, e.g., continuous upskilling of managers’ coaching skills, data-driven sales performance conversations, etc.
Skills Gap Analysis: Partner with regional leadership teams to conduct performance gap analysis by understanding gaps in skills, behavior, mindset, or others. Recommend and deliver appropriate interventions to close these gaps.
Digital Tools Utilization: Collaborate with the commercial excellence team and regional sales managers to drive adoption of relevant digital tools, e.g., SFDC as CRM, sales/orders dashboards for actionable insights, etc.
Stakeholder Management: Partner with assigned stakeholders to influence and drive adoption of learning initiatives and embed a continuous learning mindset.
Training Management: Manage and organize consultancy versus in-house training tasks. Collaborate with SMEs and across ECP to deliver on committed timelines.
Quality and KPIs: Ensure the quality of delivery and fit-for-purpose content for all programs. Align KPIs with stakeholders and report progress.
Embedding HIC Culture: Foster Merck Millipore Sigma's high-impact culture (HIC) behaviors among self and peers.
Training Coordination: Support logistical coordination for training sessions as needed, based on location.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline or related experience
5-7+ years of experience in commercial roles within the Biopharma / Life Science industry
Experience in coaching and training, e.g., collaborating with SMEs, managers, and line employees on education projects
Proven ability to perform training needs analysis, addressing mindset, skillset, behavior, etc.
Proven ability to advise, design, and consult on optimal learning or behavioral change experiences based on training needs.
Travel to client sites required, LATAM and US +/-20%
Must speak Spanish fluently
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in any discipline
3+ years of experience in sales or commercial leadership roles
Certified trainer in core commercial skills for B2B (e.g., strategic selling, conceptual selling, presentation skills)
Certification in coaching
Experience managing multiple projects with tight timelines
Experience influencing stakeholders in complex organizational environments
Role must be based in Burlington, MA or LATAM
