Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA seeks a Field Operations Manager for AMMM to lead 10-15 direct employees in maintenance, operations, and support of C-130, C-5, and P-3 aircraft, covering business capture and proposal operations.

The role emphasizes EVM-based cost/schedule management, field site integration, fleet management performance, and customer engagement. Travel ~10% annually; Top Secret clearance required or ability to obtain.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of aircraft operations/maintenance/sustainment experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with senior management within LM and operations communities.
  • Working knowledge of flight line operations in an operational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Air Force or US Military maintenance and operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of managing cost and schedule using EVM or similar budget system.
  • Experience in capture and proposal development including BOE development.
  • Experience in contracts and requirements decomposition.
  • Experience collaborating with Supply Chain Management and Export Compliance for third-party field personnel.
  • Understanding of Contractor Field Teams and Maintenance Team deployment/execution.
  • Understanding of Aircraft Maintenance and Availability Metrics.
  • Requires Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret.

Short Description

The Field Operations Manager for Air Mobility and Maritime Missions (AMMM) leads 10-15 Direct Employees in the maintenance, operations, and support of C-130, C-5, and P-3 Aircraft of the Fleet Support/Fleet Management Teams covering Business Capture, Cost/Schedule, and Proposal Operations; Field Site Integration; and Fleet Management Performance. The Business, Cost/Schedule, and Proposal responsibilities include managing cost/schedule IAW Earned Value Management (EVM) System, leading the capture and proposal development processes with BOE development, negotiations, and requirements decomposition with employee work assignments. The Fleet Support responsibilities include daily interaction with field sites, analysis of key metrics, delivery of CDRLs, coordinating engineering changes as well as planning, deployment, and execution of Contractor Field Teams. The Fleet Management responsibilities provide key capabilities/deliverables for Fleet Performance Monitoring, Maintenance Planning/Optimization, Configuration/Modification Management, Forecasting and Sustainment Planning, and Customer Engagement and Reporting. Travel will be required both domestically and intentionally on average 10% of the year. This position will be responsible for both non-classified as well as classified programs which drive the requirement for Top-Secret Clearance.

Standard Job Description

Manages the identification of customer's system needs and responds to requests for proposals; performs feasibility and performance studies, including benchmarking, capacity planning, etc.; develops appropriate systems recommendations to meet customer needs, including system configurations, installation planning, etc.; prepares and presents technical product information to customers. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Oversees post-installation and implementation responsibilities including technical consulting to customers and providing solutions to software problems.

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of aircraft operations/maintenance/sustainment experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working and interacting with senior management within LM as well as unit operations and maintenance communities.
  • Working knowledge of flight line operations in and around operational environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Air Force or other US Military maintenance and operations.
  • In-Depth knowledge of managing cost and schedule using Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar budget system
  • Experience in the capture and proposal development processes including BOE Development
  • Experience in contracts and requirements decomposition
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with Supply Chain Management and Export Compliance for sourcing/executing Third Party Field Personnel Technical Support Services
  • Working knowledge of Planning, deployment, and execution of Contractor Field Teams and Contractor Maintenance Teams
  • Demonstrated understanding of Aircraft Maintenance and Availability Metrics
  • Required security clearance of Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret.

  • Prior military or civilian equivalent operational maintenance & logistics experience desirable; specifically organizational and intermediate maintenance experience.
  • Should be considered an expert authority in the maintenance, operations, and support/sustainment disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of Supply, Field Operations, MUO, and Technical Publications functions.
  • Demonstrates Empathy, patience and a collaborative mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00
