Job summary

Dexian is seeking a Field Sales Rep for City Launch & Merchant Success in the San Francisco area. You will spend 4 days in the field each week, with Fridays for administrative work, engaging with local merchants to drive onboarding, adoption, and ongoing success.

You will own the field launch lifecycle, conduct live walkthroughs, lead merchant trainings, and collaborate with Product, Ops, and GTM teams to expand in new cities. Travel within roughly 100 miles is expected.

Job description

Job Title: Field Sales Rep - City Launch & Merchant Success

Duration: 09/15/2026 to 03/12/2027

Work Schedule: 4 days field work from Mon-Thu. Fri reserved for administrative/desk work.

Pay Range: $76 hourly - $77 hourly

Job Responsibilities

• Act as the face of Neighborhoods in the assigned city and build trusted relationships with local merchants.
• Visit restaurants and other local businesses to support merchant onboarding, adoption, and ongoing success.
• Own the field launch lifecycle, including pre-launch preparation, activation-day support, and post-launch follow-up.
• Conduct live transaction walkthroughs and provide hands-on support to business owners, managers, and frontline staff.
• Lead merchant trainings, workshops, office hours, community events, and other engagement activities.
• Partner with Product, Operations, and Go-to-Market teams to execute successful city launches and market expansion.
• Gather merchant feedback, identify operational challenges, and communicate insights to internal teams.
• Monitor merchant engagement and adoption and proactively help businesses maximize the value of the program.
• Troubleshoot issues, remove obstacles, and deliver an exceptional merchant experience.
• Partner with Account Managers where applicable to support merchant success.
• Develop repeatable playbooks, training materials, and community engagement strategies that can be scaled to future cities.
• Travel locally, primarily within approximately 100 miles of the assigned market, for merchant visits, trainings, and community events.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-7+ years of experience in merchant success, hospitality, field operations, community management, training, account management, retail, restaurant operations, or similar customer-facing roles.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Comfortable approaching local businesses and building relationships with owners and staff.
• Experience conducting trainings, workshops, or customer education sessions.
• Highly organized, dependable, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Willingness to spend the majority of the time in the field and travel locally.
• Passion for supporting local businesses and communities.

Education

• AS/BS degree and/or 5+ years of relevant experience.
