Job summary

The Chefs' Warehouse in Napa, CA seeks a results-driven Sales Associate to expand our restaurant and hospitality client base. You will drive revenue by acquiring new accounts and growing existing relationships, while delivering exceptional service.

You’ll travel within your territory, present products, and coordinate with inside sales to ensure timely order fulfillment. A strong customer‑focus, organization, and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in restaurant sales, food sales, professional catering sales, and/or working as a Chef.
• Positive attitude with high energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong verbal and written communication.
• Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize.
• College degree desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Grow revenue by developing new business opportunities and expanding relationships with existing accounts.
• Build a customer portfolio for sale leads from networking, directories, ads, trade shows, websites, and other sources.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory and call on customers to secure orders.
• Present products using samples or catalogs highlighting features and benefits.
• Quote prices and credit terms to prepare contracts for orders.
• Provide estimated delivery dates and collect payments in a timely manner.
• Maintain detailed records of transactions and keep systems current with customer and sales data.
• Collaborate with inside sales to keep account activities up to date.
• Monitor stock levels to align product availability with demand.
• Build lasting relationships rooted in trust for long-term collaboration.
