Field Sales Manager - Queens/LI/Brooklyn Retail (E&J Gallo)

Position Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Field Sales Manager to achieve sales volume and distribution objectives by managing and coaching a team of sales representatives through proper planning, organization, training, and execution.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Pre-plan each sales period with individual meetings, strategize on achieving goals, and assist in defining target accounts.
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings to communicate objectives, review performance, and guide closing strategies.
  • Develop and review performance improvement plans for sales staff, including evaluations and coaching.
  • Maintain customer relationships, identify new opportunities, and resolve customer issues.
  • Participate in hiring processes and manage onboarding of new staff.
  • Coordinate surveys and ride-alongs with suppliers and sales staff.
  • Complete required training and maintain industry knowledge.
  • Adhere to confidentiality, safety, and company policies.
  • Contribute to team efforts and meet organizational goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise sales representatives on the team.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.
  • At least 5 years of related experience or equivalent training.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Understanding of wine and spirits; WSET certification preferred.
  • Experience in spirits and wine sales management or as a sales representative.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and presentation software.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 plus bonuses and incentives, automobile allowance, health plans, 401K, and more.

Physical & Working Conditions

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, travel, and work in various environments including outdoor settings.
