Job summary

3M is seeking an Undergraduate Field Sales Intern for the Frontline Summer Program in the Consumer Business Group. The internship runs 10-12 weeks, typically late May through August, with a focus on developing sales skills and understanding product lines, customer segments, and market strategies.

Interns will work on real projects within 3M’s business units, receive orientation and ongoing training, and have opportunities to network with leadership.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Current, valid driver’s license is required.
• Additional qualifications include pursuing a degree in Sales or Marketing.
• Completed a minimum of junior year (6 semesters) by the start of the internship.
• Current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
• Strong aptitude and desire for a career in sales.

Responsibilities

• Assist field sales in assigned territory and learn sales processes.
• Attend orientation and training in the first week.
• Support achievement of sales objectives and territory targets.
• Collaborate with 3M teams across different business groups.
