Job summary

Quincy Compressor LLC is seeking a Service Sales Engineer to drive growth in our service business by applying technical expertise and a customer-centric approach. You will work remotely in the U.S., reporting to the Regional Sales Manager and collaborating with engineering and service product teams to execute effective service sales strategies.

You will develop strategic sales territories, pursue new accounts, and manage quotes while building strong relationships with key customers.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in the compressed air industry or with compressed air systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in management, business, administration, marketing, engineering or related technical field is desirable.
  • Customer-focused with ability to understand and prioritise customer needs.
  • Willing to take calculated risks while analyzing potential pitfalls.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to lead oneself and manage varied workloads.
  • Assertive, organized and flexible in daily work.

Responsibilities

  • Guide customers in designing compressed air solutions and stay current on Quincy product offerings.
  • Prospect new and drifted accounts to generate revenue; manage quote log and follow up; build key account relationships.
  • Audit compressed air systems, present results, and coordinate rebates with local utilities for energy savings.
  • Support and grow the local sub-distribution network.
  • Provide training to customers and sub-distribution; troubleshoot current systems.
  • Achieve sales goals across Quincy rotaries, compressors, accessories and aftermarket services.
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop opportunities and retain/recover lost customers.
  • Use Salesforce, CPQ (iQ2) and SAP to gather customer data for quoting and activity tracking.
  • Process orders and ensure post-sales documentation and contracts are complete.
  • Provide feedback on market activity and competition to sales/marketing.
  • Conduct regular reviews with the sales manager and team.
  • Contribute to team meetings and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Travel daily within the sales territory and domestically as needed.

Your role

As a Service Sales Engineer, your mission is to drive sales growth for our service business by leveraging your technical expertise and understanding of customer needs. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will work closely with the engineering and service product teams to implement effective service sales strategies.

Your day-to-day

Your success is determined by your ability to be customer-oriented, while finding the most suitable value proposition for the customer. You will develop a strategic sales territory, new accounts, opportunities and call planning. You will follow market trends and to challenge the status quo, looking for innovative solutions for an ever-changing customer and market scenario.

Responsibilities
  • You will guide customers in designing compressed air solutions for their need and stay current on all Quincy product offerings.
  • You will prospect new and drifted accounts to generate revenue, effectively manage quote log and follow up as needed, develop relationships with key accounts in assigned territory.
  • You will audit compressed air systems, present results and work with local utility company to process rebates for energy savings.
  • You will support and grow local sub-distribution network.
  • You will provide training to customers and sub-distribution and troubleshoot current system.
  • You will achieve Business Plan sales goals in Quincy Business categories including small and large rotaries, reciprocating compressors, accessories and aftermarket services.
  • You will collaborate with other areas and sales teams and departments to develop opportunities and strategies to retain or recover lost customers
  • You will use business tools, such asSalesforce.com, CPQ (iQ2), ERP (SAP), among others, to gather necessary customer information for quoting, follow-up and to record activities.
  • You will process orders received, maintaining the integrity of the post sales process by acquiring the necessary PO, documentation, approvals and contract review process.
  • You will provide feedback to sales and marketing teams on market activity, competition and other relevant information.
  • You will conduct regular reviews with respective sales manager and team.
  • You will contribute to team efforts, meetings and discussions.
  • You will travel daily in sales territory and domestically required as needed.
Your skills and experience
  • You have 3+ years' experience in the compressed air industry or with compressed air systems.
  • You have a bachelor's degree (desirable), in either management, business, administration, marketing, engineering or other technical specialization. Relevant related experience will be considered.
  • You are customer-focused and can understand customer needs and prioritize them accordingly.
  • You are a risk taker while still analyzing potential pitfalls of your actions.
  • You can lead yourself and are self-motivated.
  • You are willing to act while coping with varied workloads and can be assertive and organized while demonstrating flexibility in daily work.

  • Total Compensation package of $120,000 (Base salary between $60,000-$70,000, commission, vehicle allowance, and bonuses)

Your location

This role is fully remote and employed through our legal entity in San Antonio, United States (US). Other locations may be possible to review.
