Axis Communications seeks a Field Sales Engineer, Midwest to assist Regional Sales Managers with technical solutions support for pre- and post-sales opportunities in Chicagoland. The role emphasizes pre-sales engineering, on-site training, and collaboration with customers and internal teams.

Ideal candidates have a background in networking/video systems, strong communication and presentation skills, and willingness to travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering or Information Systems.
• 4+ years of experience in networking and/or video related systems, preferably customer facing.
• Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration with both internal and external customers.
• Travel up to 75% and operate in Chicagoland area.

What You’ll Need …

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering or Information Systems
• 4+ years of experience in networking and/or video related systems, preferably customer facing.

Physical demands:

• Occasionally required to lift 20-40 lbs.
• Ability to climb and stand on ladders or lifts for an extended period of time.
• Ability to work with heights. Ceilings, ladders, rooftops, etc.
• Travel up to 75%.

Target Salary

The approximate pay range is $110,000 - $125,000 On Target Earnings / Total Target Compensation. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
