The Davey Tree Expert Company in Acton, MA is seeking a Sales Arborist Trainee to join a nationwide employee-owned team. Your office is outdoors, and you’ll encounter a new view at each site visit.

Responsibilities include assisting the sales team with field estimates, building client relationships, site visits, and driving revenue growth through bids and RFPs. Training and mentorship are a key part of the role.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to complete required safety courses indicated in the handbook.
• Proven high proficiency in skilled arboriculture and knowledge/usage of tools and equipment.
• Proven ability to prioritize effectively and manage resources.
• Proven ability to train and mentor others.
• Fluency in Spanish is beneficial.
• Relevant pesticide, CDL licenses or certificates may be required by state law.
• Good people skills; self-motivated; computer proficient and organized.

Responsabilités

• Learn to work as a tree doctor that makes house calls.
• Aid and assist sales team with field estimates.
• Create and build relationships with existing clients.
• Call on clients and conduct site visits.
• Drive organic revenue growth by conducting sales activities, preparing bids and completing full sales cycle.
• Conduct and participate in employee training.
• Develop and update annual plant health care programs.
• Identify tree species and advise on health programs.
