Job summary

Summit Line Construction is seeking a Safety Advisor to join our team in Santa Teresa, NM. You will plan and implement safety policies ensuring OSHA/DOT compliance while reinforcing a proactive safety culture across field operations.

Ideal candidates bring OSHA 30 certification, strong regulatory knowledge, and experience in power line construction. The role emphasizes training delivery, incident reporting, and collaboration with field personnel and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• High school graduate and/or GED equivalent.
• 2 years minimum related experience (ideally within power line construction).
• OSHA 30 certification and/or related safety certification, preferred
• Understanding of Federal and State safety regulations and training requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and experience with web-based tracking software.
• Must complete pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying training needs and gaps and propose training plans.
• Provide training to field personnel through tailboards and briefings.
• Inspect workplace environments and equipment for compliance with safety standards.
• Audit job sites to ensure proper HSE procedures are followed.
• Prepare written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain clear communications with employees, supervisory personnel, and officials.
