Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Field Technician IV for Sabine Pass, TX. This hands-on, field-based safety role emphasizes permit office activities, hazard identification and safety leadership within a large industrial plant environment.

You will coach and mentor employees and contractors, lead safety walks and toolbox talks, and support incident investigations. Required: OSHA 30, OSHA 510 or higher, TWIC, and a valid state driver’s license; 10 years in safety on large projects and strong communication

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or equivalent field experience preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of safety-related experience on large projects with high workforce volumes.
• Experience with work permitting, elevated work, crane lifts, confined spaces, excavation, and lockout/tagout.
• Experience in hazard identification, safety walks, toolbox talks, and incident investigation support.

Job description

Job Title: Field Technician IV

Duration: Initially 1 year with possibility of extension

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Location: Sabine Pass, TX

This opportunity offers hands-on field-based safety support within a large-scale industrial plant environment, with a strong focus on permit office activities, hazard identification, and safety leadership. The role will support site safety and health programs, engage with employees and contractors, and contribute to incident prevention and safe work execution. This position is well suited to candidates with experience in construction safety, work permitting, confined space, lifting operations, and high-activity project environments.

Required Education: High School Diploma or GED required Associate’s degree, or equivalent field experience, in an occupational safety and health related field

Required Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in a safety-related role Experience supporting large projects with high workforce volumes in complex, fast-paced environments Practical experience in field safety activities, including safety walks, hazard identification, toolbox talks, and incident investigation support Work permitting experience covering elevated work, crane lifts, confined space, excavation, and lockout/tagout activities

Required Skills: Must live within 50-mile radius from Sabine Pass, TX Strong capability to coach and mentor employees and contractors to promote a positive safety culture Experience in lifting and rigging, crane operations, confined space, and working at heights Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to speak confidently to large groups Ability to work effectively in a demanding and high-pressure industrial environment

Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting major projects with workforces of more than 250 people
