A Native-owned enterprise in Hoonah, Alaska is seeking a Safety Technician to support the implementation of a comprehensive Safety Program. The role involves conducting safety inspections, supporting incident reporting, and assisting with safety training to ensure a safe workplace for all. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and organizational skills, and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience in safety or health is preferred. This position allows for contribution to a culture of safety and well-being in the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous safety, health, or related experience preferred.
• Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Current Red Cross Instructor certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Conduct routine safety inspections of facilities and operational areas.
• Perform safety audits of tours and operational activities.
• Inspect and maintain safety supplies and equipment.
• Support incident and hazard reporting and investigations.
• Assist with safety training programs and deliver presentations.
