Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a field-based health, safety and environmental specialist to enforce policies on a project or worksite.

You will identify risks, report incidents, investigate and ensure compliance with hazardous waste handling guidelines, and conduct inspections. You will also maintain records and follow all safety rules while wearing required PPE. Additional duties may be assigned to support safe operations.

Qualifications

• Warehouse packaging, loading and shipping experience required.
• Tank car and railcar loading experience required.
• Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
• Plan work and select proper tools.
• Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
• Make decisions based on measurable criteria.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a specific project or worksite.
• Identify and manage risks, incidents and investigations.
• Follow all hazardous waste handling guidelines.
• Conduct inspections and assessments.
• Maintain records and perform general administrative duties.
• Observe and comply with safety rules, including wearing required PPE. May perform additional duties.
