Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Safety Supervisor to oversee daily safety operations across hauling, landfill, and recycling facilities in the Dayton region. The role emphasizes field oversight, inspections, and driving a culture of safety with operations teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in safety, DOT/OSHA knowledge, and strong investigative skills. This is a field-based, hands-on position with overtime and on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in safety operations and record keeping.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local safety regulations.
• Strong communication and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits across regional operations and audits.
• Identify unsafe behaviors and provide corrective coaching.
• Respond to injuries and incidents and assist investigations.
• Ensure OSHA/DOT compliance and prepare for audits.
• Maintain OSHA logs and safety documentation.
