Job summary

Rumpke is seeking a Safety Supervisor to oversee daily safety operations across hauling, landfill, recycling, and transfer stations in the region. This hands‑on role partners with Operations and site leadership to reduce injuries, enforce policies, and maintain regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate brings DOT/OSHA knowledge, field experience, and strong communication. This full‑time position requires flexible hours, safety focus, and the ability to travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in waste industry is a plus.
• Understanding of DOT and OSHA requirements is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site visits across regional operations.
• Perform yard audits, landfill inspections, shop walkthroughs, and route observations.
• Identify unsafe behaviors and provide corrective coaching.
• Respond to workplace injuries, vehicle incidents, and near misses.
• Assist investigations, root cause analysis, and documentation.
