Job summary

ERM is hiring a Safety Specialist regionally in Northern, CA, from Sacramento to Bakersfield. You will engage with client and contractor teams to promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with the client’s Safety Program and applicable regulations (Cal/OSHA, GO 95, 128,165, IBEW Red Book, TD-1464S).

This full-time, fixed-term position (12 months, renewable) emphasizes field safety coaching, incident investigations, and leadership in safety meetings across diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Driver's license and ability to travel to client locations across a large geographical area.
• Safety program knowledge including Cal/OSHA regulations and contractor safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review and provide feedback on contractor safety documents (Plans, JSAs, PSPS).
• Inspect site activities during kick-off and high-risk scope activities.
• Provide on-site safety support to identify, prevent, and mitigate risks.
