Job summary

Pennsy Supply is seeking a Safety Manager in Harrisburg, PA to lead health and safety programs across asphalt, aggregates, construction, and ready-mix operations. You will develop, implement, and manage safety procedures, conduct audits, and provide compliance guidance to supervisors and employees while partnering with regulatory agencies.

The role emphasizes coaching teams, delivering training such as MSHA/OSHA programs, and driving a culture of loss prevention, with travel to multiple sites

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety sciences, safety management, EHS applied sciences, or related health and safety field, or engineering/science with safety experience.
• Experience with MSHA/OSHA compliance programs is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a high level of safety compliance and awareness at company locations through site visits and documentation.
• Work with site safety teams, line of business leaders, and field crews to promote safety philosophies and personal responsibility.
• Perform audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance; interpret safety data to support business needs.
