Job summary

Baker Construction in Phoenix seeks a Field Safety Representative I to promote the company's IIF culture by ensuring every co-worker returns home safely each night. This role is hands-on, spending 100% of time in the field observing, coaching on unsafe conditions, and reinforcing positive behavior through recognition.

You will embed with the project team, help with safety compliance, case management, and training, and strive to improve safety, quality, and productivity on SQP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or at least 4 years of concrete construction experience.
• Prior experience as a Field Safety Coordinator.
• OSHA 30-hour certification within 3 months.

Is expected to spend 100% of time in the field observing and coaching co‑workers on correction of unsafe conditions and behaviors. Reinforces positive behavior through recognition and/or rewards. Serves as a resource to co‑workers by answering questions about safety and sharing lessons learned. Embeds self with the project team and strategically "dives in" using a hands‑on approach to improve project safety, quality, and productive (SQP).

Requirements
