Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Safety & QC Tech to support compliance, inspections and the safety of employees in the field. This role acts as an advisor to site leadership and coordinates with operations and government agencies as needed.

You will develop safety policies, lead toolbox talks, train staff on OHSA guidelines, monitor equipment testing, maintain licenses, and report incidents to drive continuous safety improvements across on-site operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree preferred.
• Two years’ experience in safety or related field.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations; effective communication and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining safety policies, procedures and manuals.
• Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks; provide training to employees on health and safety.
• Educate employees on OHSA guidelines and risk mitigation; ensure licenses are current.
• Coordinate with Yard Manager to ensure on-site health and safety of all staff.
• Assist in incident reporting and safety procedure improvements; monitor equipment testing.
