Job summary

Austin Industrial, Inc. seeks an experienced Safety Manager to be based in Bay City, TX. This maintenance role requires NCCER/CSST certification, a valid driver's license, and a TWIC card. The job operates on 4x10s with occasional overtime and no per diem.

Responsibilities include executing the site safety program, training staff, and ensuring compliance with safety policies. Most work is in the field, coaching crews and auditing safety practices on site.

Qualifications

• 2 years of maintenance and construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customer representatives, project staff, and subcontractor safety reps.
• Assist in creating safety reports and accident investigations.
• Assist in staff safety training and subcontractor development.
• Represent company positively with customers and subcontractors.
• Create and facilitate safety trainings and orientations aligned with project specifics.
• Ensure compliance with the company safety manual, policies, and expectations.
• Majority of time spent in the field observing work, coaching, auditing, and engaging craft employee-owners.
• Help project supervision resolve safety problems and issues in the field.
• Fill in for site HSE manager during absences.
