Job summary

Forgent Power Safety Manager — Field Services oversees the safety program for a mobile field workforce delivering installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance and repair of energized and de-energized electrical equipment at customer sites.

This safety-first role carries stop-work authority and a direct escalation path to leadership, focusing on injury prevention, SIF reduction, and program maturity across regions and multi-employer worksites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive safety experience, including 3 years in leadership.
• Experience supporting field services, electrical contracting, or utility work across multiple sites.
• Deep knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA 1910/1926; lockout/tagout, fall protection, confined space.
• Qualified to deliver NFPA 70E training or able to obtain credentials within six months.
• Proven record of reducing injury and near-miss events; incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Valid driver's license and travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own the field services safety program aligned with ISO 45001.
• Perform field observations, site audits, and safety inspections; coach crews in real time.
• Manage multi-employer worksites, site orientations, and coordination with contractors.
• Drive pre-job planning tools, JHAs, pre-task briefings, and stop-work authority.
• Lead incident reporting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions; track SIF potential.
• Develop safety policies, training curriculum, and qualification processes.
• Partner with Human Resources, claims, and customers on safety matters.
• Travel to field sites up to 50% as required.
