Job summary

ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies, is seeking a Safety Manager to lead risk management across multiple job sites and ensure compliance with safety standards.

The role requires 3+ years in safety, construction experience, and hands-on training delivery. Expect regular travel to sites nationwide and collaboration with project teams to implement best practices and prevent incidents.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' of Safety and Health experience preferred.
• Prior construction experience is required.
• BS in Occupational Health and Safety or closely related field is preferred.
• STS, CHST, CSP or similar certifications preferred.
• OSHA 500/510 certification a plus.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver license in your state of residence.
• Travel to jobsites 2–3 days/week to construction project sites locally and nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Create and lead training on risk management for office and field settings.
• Provide on-the-spot site training to superintendents, subcontractors and associates.
• Attend preconstruction and project meetings as required.
• Lead safety portions of meetings throughout the construction process.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and publish improvement reports.
• Collaborate with Superintendents, Project Managers and Subcontractors to ensure safety and best practices.
• Review engineered plans/drawings for safety hazards with Project Managers.
• Visit 15+ job sites monthly and provide support during construction.
• Investigate work-related incidents to determine causes and corrective actions.
• Maintain knowledge of Local, State, and Federal safety regulations.
