Job summary

The Field Safety Supervisor at Mid-State Industrial Maintenance ensures our field teams operate safely and efficiently. You will lead safety programs, enforce OSHA/MSHA standards, and communicate effectively with clients.

This role requires travel to client sites within Ohio and potentially beyond, in varying industrial environments. You will train staff, conduct safety orientations, and respond to incidents with measured, proactive actions.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in health and safety, Environmental Science, or another relevant field.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Safety is preferred.
• May consider 5-7 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• A minimum of 2-5 years’ work experience with responsibilities in EHS compliance is required, preferably in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current knowledge of OSHA/MSHA regulatory requirements.
• Oversee and ensure safe daily operations in the field.
• Inspect and assess job sites daily to identify hazards, risks, and potential safety issues.
• Develop effective strategies to mitigate risks as they arise in the field.
• Address all safety concerns by providing educated recommendations to ensure the safety of our team members.
• Coach and train team members in the field on safe operations.
• Conduct various training sessions (New Hire Orientation, Annual Refreshers).
• Provide immediate on-scene assistance and management in the event of an incident.
• Establish a strong working relationship with our customers’ and on-site personnel.
• Complete daily administrative duties.
