Job summary

Mid-State Machine in Van Wert, OH is seeking a Field Safety Supervisor to ensure safe, efficient field operations and compliance with OSHA/MSHA standards. You will monitor sites, train crews, investigate incidents, and coordinate with on-site contractors to mitigate risks.

The role requires 2–5 years of EHS experience, an associate degree (bachelor preferred), strong communication skills, and ability to travel daily to client worksites across Ohio.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in health and safety or related field; BS preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience may substitute for the degree.
• Experience in EHS compliance; construction background preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current knowledge of OSHA/MSHA regulatory requirements.
• Oversee and ensure safe daily operations in the field.
• Inspect and assess job sites daily to identify hazards and risks.
• Develop strategies to mitigate field risks and communicate findings.
• Coach and train team members in safe operations and conduct trainings.
• Conduct interviews to gather information on incidents and provide on-scene assistance.
• Build strong relationships with customers and on-site personnel.
• Complete daily administrative duties and other assigned tasks.
