Job summary

ACCIONA in Georgia is seeking a Field Safety Manager to support the field construction team with safety leadership and program implementation. The role requires liaising with segment managers, conducting inspections, and enforcing site safety plans on federal, state, and local standards.

The candidate should have 10+ years of safety experience in heavy civil construction, with 5+ years on highway/bridge mega projects, and be fluent in English; Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in safety management or equivalent with extensive safety experience.
• OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, EPA, DOT regulations knowledge preferred; OSHA-500 and CSP certifications are a plus.
• Proven ability to coach field personnel and lead safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with segment managers and field engineers on safety matters and review lift plans.
• Perform daily field inspections and allocate PPE.
• Coach field supervisors and safety personnel for performance.
• Identify KPIs and drive corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and apply lessons learned.
• Develop and enforce site safety plans and conduct audits for hazards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations; lead JHAs and risk assessments.
• Maintain safety documentation and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Act as primary on-site safety contact; hire, motivate, and lead a high-performing team.
• Oversee training, performance reviews, and staffing decisions.
