Job summary

GeoStabilization International (GSI) is seeking a Safety Technician III based in Erie, CO, with 4+ years of safety experience to join our high‑risk field teams. You will embed operational discipline, lead field coaching, and conduct root‑cause analyses to prevent incidents, partnering with operations, safety leadership and clients to improve outcomes.

Travel up to 50% is required, and you will work toward OSHA Trainer certification while helping develop HASPs and startup protocols for diverse

Qualifications

• 4+ years of dedicated safety experience in construction or heavy industrial sectors.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, or relevant safety standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, SmartSheet, and Box; comfortable with digital reporting.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• CHST, ASP, or CSP certifications preferred or commitment to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with field operations to identify and mitigate risks on high‑exposure sites.
• Lead field training and in‑the‑trenches coaching for terrain and project exposure.
• Conduct root‑cause analyses of safety incidents and drive learning.
• Bridge between field crews, safety leadership and clients to uphold standards.
• Facilitate crew training and work toward OSHA trainer certification.
• Own regional project scheduling and help develop HASP and startup protocols.
• Build subject matter expertise in workers’ compensation and CPR/First Aid.
