Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing in Copiague, NY, is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to lead safety programs across active construction sites throughout Long Island. You will act as the primary safety resource for field personnel, supervisors, and leadership, developing programs, audits, and training to promote safe work practices.

The role requires field leadership, strong documentation, and the ability to travel to multiple sites, with a Monday-Friday schedule and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 cert and NY SST requirements as applicable.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience in construction safety management on active sites.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA Construction Regulations.
• Experience conducting jobsite safety audits and inspections.
• Ability to deliver toolbox talks and safety trainings.
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
• Valid NY driver's license and ability to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain jobsite safety audit reports in Procore and company systems.
• Conduct routine safety audits and inspections on active projects.
• Identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain CHASPs, JHAs, Site-Specific Safety Plans, and related docs.
• Monitor certifications, training, and renewal deadlines.
• Conduct new hire orientations and safety trainings.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, and near-misses.
• Provide post-incident coaching and retraining on safety.
