Job summary

Knobelsdorff (KE) is seeking a Safety Coordinator to promote, monitor, and enforce site safety across KE job sites nationwide. You’ll ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, KE safety policies, and project requirements, fostering a proactive safety culture that reduces risk and protects personnel.

The role requires up to one year of safety experience, a high school diploma, and certifications (First Aid/CPR/AED, Fall Protection, OSHA 30) or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Up to one year of experience in a Safety Coordinator or similar role.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• First Aid/CPR/AED and Fall Protection Certs, or willingness to obtain.
• OSHA 30 certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Willingness to obtain BCSP STS within six months of hire.
• Experience in electrical or solar construction (preferred).
• Knowledge of OSHA, federal, and state safety regulations.
• Ability to conduct safety audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving history.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Travel 100% and willingness to work evenings/weekends/holidays.
• Associate degree in Safety Management or Construction Management is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Promote, monitor, and enforce site‑level safety across KE job sites nationwide.
• Educate and train field personnel on safety policies as needed.
• Audit project‑level safety documentation to meet KE standards.
• Conduct site safety audits and incident investigations.
• Prepare mandated safety statistics and compliance reports.
• Support risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Assist field personnel with EHS/OHS challenges.
• Attend Tailgate meetings to discuss hazards and best practices.
• Support pre‑construction planning from a safety perspective.
• Travel extensively for assignments.
