Job summary

Southwest Concrete Paving is seeking a Safety Supervisor to implement, monitor, and maintain our safety program across active projects. This field-based role requires travel to jobsites to assess conditions, identify hazards, and ensure corrective actions, with stop-work authority when needed.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, communicates effectively with all levels, and can lead safety initiatives across multiple crews while ensuring compliance with OSHA and EM 385 requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of construction safety experience, preferably in heavy civil or military construction.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and work all shifts including nights and weekends.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary field safety representative for assigned SWCP projects.
• Conduct regular and unannounced jobsite safety inspections and observations.
• Evaluate jobsite conditions to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with SWCP policies, OSHA, EM 385, and all regulations.
• Work with project management and crews to identify hazards and implement controls.
• Provide guidance on safe work practices and protective measures.
