Job summary

Tailing International, LLC seeks a Contract Safety Coordinator for Richmond, VA to coordinate and supervise client health and safety programs. The safety professional will work directly for the contractor, leading field safety efforts and policy implementation.

Candidates must hold BCSP Certification and OSHA 510, with NFPA 70E and LOTO experience. Per diem is available for non-locals. Duties include safety trainings, site audits, hazard control, and incident investigations to protect personnel.

Qualifications

• Must have BCSP Certification.
• Must have OSHA 510.
• Must have NFPA 70E experience.
• Must have LOTO experience.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Prevent accidents and injuries by being visible in the field and walking jobs.
• Develop and deliver Safety Training and New Hire Orientations as mandated by laws and client programs.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Client or Project safety regulations, programs, and policies.
• Prevent and mitigate employee injuries and illnesses.
• Lead/Assist in accident investigations and return-to-work programs.
• Perform job site safety audits on a daily or weekly basis per project demands.
• Develop and measure hazard controls and safety programs.
• Inspire and coach employees to achieve safety goals.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding injuries and claims.
• Take proactive approach in claims and injury reduction.
• Act as liaison for project drug and alcohol testing.
