Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a Site Safety Intern to join our field team. The role supports the implementation and administration of project health, safety, environmental, and quality programs under supervision, gaining hands-on experience in renewable energy construction.

The intern will assist with safety observations, inspections, incident follow-ups, training records, and documentation while promoting a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Construction Management, Engineering, Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in both office and field environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Safety Manager with safety program implementation and administration.
• Conduct daily site walks, inspections, and audits to identify hazards.
• Document safety observations, inspections, actions, and training records.
• Support incident investigations and tracking of corrective actions.
• Assist in maintaining site safety files, logs, and permits.
• Participate in JHA reviews and pre-task planning with teams.
• Monitor PPE use and report deficiencies.
• Contribute to safety meetings and minutes.
