Job summary

JobDiva, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Site Safety & Health Specialist to support field safety programs in a heavy construction setting. You will help interpret policies, ensure incident-free operations, and collaborate with project teams to implement safety measures.

The role requires travel to multiple project sites, OSHA training, and a valid driver's license. The position is contract with potential to hire, based in Hallam, NE and offers per diem and on-site work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in safety, engineering or construction management is required.
• Associate's degree plus 2 years of safety/management experience is required.
• High school diploma with 4 years of safety/management experience is required.
• OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour Construction Outreach Safety Training is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing Safety & Health program support on field construction projects.
• Assist in delivering Safety & Health deliverables defined by Corporate Safety & Health.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations at Local, State and Federal levels.
• Assist with work stoppage incidents to prevent danger on projects.
• Document safety concerns and communicate details to the project team.
• Collaborate with Safety & Health teams to implement project safety programs.
• Help pre-plan safety hazard assessments for projects.
• Identify and document safety issues and support corrective actions.
• Assist with site safety walk-throughs with subcontractor safety staff.
• Distribute safety information and communications to teams.
• Support near-miss, property damage, and environmental incident investigations.
• Maintain and audit project safety records and reporting.
• Prepare and submit all required Safety & Health documentation.
• Travel to various project sites as needed.
