Job summary

Kinkaid Civil Construction, LLC is seeking a Safety Engineer to support field operations across Arizona. This role focuses on promoting safe work practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and strengthening the safety culture on heavy civil projects in the Phoenix area.

The position requires a Bachelor’s level safety-related degree (or equivalent), 2+ years in construction safety, OSHA 30, and a valid AZ driver’s license, with regular travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in safety-related field.
• Minimum 2 years of construction safety experience in heavy civil.
• Knowledge of OSHA construction standards and Arizona regulations.
• Experience with underground wet utilities, earthwork, or roadway projects.
• OSHA 30 Certification required or obtainable shortly after hire.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and identify hazards.
• Assist in implementing safety policies and procedures.
• Lead safety orientations and ongoing employee training.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Investigate incidents and document corrective actions.
• Monitor OSHA compliance and company safety standards.
• Assist with JHAs, excavation safety planning, and site safety plans.
• Maintain safety records and training documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams to mitigate risks.
• Track corrective actions and ensure timely completion.
• Assist with emergency response planning and safety audits.
• Travel regularly to Phoenix Metro area project sites.
