Job summary

National Electrical Engineering Consultants (NEEC) is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement and monitor NEEC’s health and safety programs across active project sites. You will conduct site inspections, support incident investigations, and ensure OSHA compliance while fostering a proactive safety culture on multi-state projects.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent).
• 2+ years of safety experience in construction, utilities, substations, or renewable energy projects.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Strong observational, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel extensively and work in active construction and energization environments.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of NEEC’s safety policies across all projects.
• Conduct routine site safety inspections and hazard assessments.
• Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
• Maintain safety records, permits, and documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams and subcontractors to integrate safety.
