Peter Lucas Project Management in Nevada is seeking a Field Safety Coordinator to support site safety initiatives by ensuring contractors meet client safety requirements and regulatory obligations in an active mining environment.

The role collaborates with site leadership and project teams to promote a strong safety culture, conduct field safety inspections, onboarding, and documentation reviews, and to implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Mining industry experience required.
• Field safety coordination or contractor safety compliance in mining or heavy industrial operations.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and site safety requirements.
• Experience reviewing training records, safety certifications, and compliance documents.
• Familiar with orientations, hazard assessments, safe work procedures, and field safety inspections.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple contractor requirements.
• Excellent communication and teamwork across multidisciplinary groups.
• Diploma/certificate in OH&S is an asset.
• Professional safety certifications (ASP, CSP, SMS, CHST) are assets.
• On-site work in active mining environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify contractor compliance with client safety requirements and procedures before work starts on site.
• Review contractor training records, safety certifications, qualifications, and required documentation.
• Coordinate contractor onboarding and site safety orientations for preparation and authorization.
• Monitor contractor compliance with safety standards and regulations on site.
• Conduct field safety inspections, workplace observations, and routine compliance checks.
