Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety science, engineering or equivalent.
• At least five years of previous experience in safety coordinator position or higher.
• Reasoning Ability: apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and assess safety-related problems.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with staff in project management, human resources, legal, operations, and research and development.
• Provides technical safety and health support and information to field personnel and corporate personnel.
• Enforces safety and health programs and policies.
• Identifies company safety training needs and develops and coordinates safety training programs.
• Participates in hazard analyses, operator training, and process reviews.
• Audits practices and records to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Monitors injuries/illnesses and workers' compensation claims.
• Develops and coordinates SWPs, JSA, and other safety planning documents.
