Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One year of experience in community engagement or public safety support.
  • CPR/First Aid and Narcan administration certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of Community Safety Ambassadors and assign zones.
  • Serve as on-shift point of contact and monitor coverage and protocols.
  • Perform ambassador duties: patrolling corridors and engaging residents and businesses.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching and real-time support to ambassadors.
  • Respond to incidents as first escalation and involve Supervisors as needed.
  • Review ambassador logs for accuracy and escalate issues.
  • Conduct elevated visits to stakeholders and document concerns.
  • Coordinate with dispatch for proper response and resource allocation.
  • Reinforce field training standards through modeling best practices.
  • Ensure team has radios and supplies and request replenishments.
  • Observe performance and provide constructive feedback to the team.
  • Maintain cleanliness of corridors and report issues to 311.
